If you have the misfortune of interlocking gazes with the creature, your body will automatically lock in position, unable to move any further, at least until it decides to set its eyes on something else. Alpine Scytheclaws are quite curious, and will most surely walk towards you and around you to inspect any object you might be carrying, before climbing back down into the crevasses from where they usually come from. Its believed their curiosity stems from their ability to read the past history of mundane objects, but no one knows why they seek that information."
